Puñihuil

On Wednesday, March 15th, we checked out of our hotel.

The bus took us to the Puñihuil nature preserve near the northwest corner of Chiloe Island.  There, we got on a boat and rode out around the various islets, veiwing the birds, including penguins.

Afterwards we had lunch at a restaurant above the beach.  Not terrific.

Later, we walked along the beach until it was time to leave.

On the way to the ferry, we stopped at an ovelook above the islet of Piedra Run.

We crossed back to the mainland on the ferry.

We had a different hotel in Puerto Varas, the Solace.  From our room, we could see Sagrado Corazón Church, so we went over to take a look.

We had a nice dinner (sandwiches) at Cafe Mawen, then went for a short walk by the lake.
