Tai Chi, Rowing Through a Cave, Carrot Cutting, a Catholic Church

On Monday, January 15, we woke up on a non-tilting boat, floated off the sandbar by the tide while we were asleep.  Before breakfast, some of us took a tai chi class on the deck, conducted by a crew member.  After breakfast, a number of us took the optional trip, by kayak or rowboat (no kayak for Mary Joy or me) through a cave into a little lake.  While the boat headed for port, the chef demonstrated how he cut carrots into flowers and nets.  Once ashore, we rode the bus back to Hanoi airport, stopping on the way in a village to look at the Catholic church there.  We caught our flight to Hue, checked into our hotel and did an orientation walk and had dinner with the group.
