On Saturday, January 20th, we took the bus to Danang Airport and flew to Cam Ranh, then got on another bus and drove to Nha Trang, which is primarily a beach resort. We ate lunch at the Sailing Club, on the beach, then checked ito our hotel, further north and across the street, with views of the beach. Unlike any of the other groups Tom has brought there, most of us then went for a mud bath (along with time in a salt cave and massage of the feet, head and neck, and a body massage with sesame gunk--some had chocolate instead). Very nice, except for the salt cave (very rough, very hot floor).
We had dinner at a place, very popular with the locals, where you barbecued your food on the table in front of you. Good, but very smoky.
Afterwards, we walked down the beach to our hotel, where a wedding reception was going on.
