On Saturday, September 19, we went down to the fish market, on the Golden Horn by the Galata Bridge, to take a 6.5-hour (though it turned out to be more like 8) food tour called "Two Markets, Two Continents," from a company called Culinary Backstreets. We were a group of seven, besides our terrific guide, Ibrahim. We started out wandering in the area around the fish market, then crossed the Bosphorus by ferry over to the Asiatic side, eating as we went. It was a delightful tour. By the time we were done, around seven o'clock, we didn't need dinner.
