On Sunday, September 13, we went on a hike up into the hills east of town, guided by a British woman named Heather Parsons, who has been very instrumental in keeping the old trails on Skopelos open and in good shape. Along with us was an Englishman named Mick, from Yorkshire. Along the way, we tried to get into the Sotiros Monastery, but the lone monk there, who is famously grumpy, suddenly decided that he was ill and shut the doors. So we continued our walk down to our hotel.
We had lunch at Aktaion again.
The hotel housekeeper was very creative!
That evening we went way up into the old town and had a very nice dinner at Anna's.
