A Walk to Dalat Lake and Off to Ho Chi Minh City

On Wednesday, January 24th, since our flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) was changed to the afternoon.  Mary Joy and I walked to the lake and back.  When we did take the bus to the airport, we were running a bit early so we stopped at a place for some salt coffee.  A board was set up their for Chinese chess, and Tom talked about the pieces and their moves.

It was a long, slow rush-our drive into Ho Chi Minh City, the largest city (10 to 12 million people) in the country.  Its name until the end of the war in 1975 was Saigon, and many people still call it that (the old name is shorter and easier to write).  After checking in at our hotel, we did an orientation walk and had dinner at a nearby restaurant.
